Job Description

Pertemps is seeking a dedicated and reliable Meter Reader for our National client in Llandrindod Wells on a temporary basis with permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
  • Position: Meter Reader Operative
  • Location: Llandrindod Wells and surrounding areas
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, between 8am-8pm)
  • Overtime: Available on weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent after 15 weeks

The role:
  • Use your own vehicle (business insurance required) to travel locally. - 30.5p Mileage reimbursement per mile
  • Visit pre-mapped residential locations.
  • Knock on doors and inform residents you're checking their meter readings.
  • Record accurate readings using a tablet or smartphone.
  • Move to the next location and repeat until all assigned locations are completed.
  • Full equipment and PPE supplied.
  • Competitive pay and weekend overtime opportunities.
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position after 15 weeks.

What We're Looking For:
  • A valid DBS check (we can assist with obtaining one if needed).
  • A valid driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
  • Ability to arrange business insurance for your vehicle.
  • No prior experience needed-comprehensive training provided!
