Job Description

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a HSE Officer to join a leading manufacturing business based on the Isle of Wight. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and delivery of HSE compliance of site.

Responsibilities as an HSE Officer:

Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data
Ensure compliance to HSE legislation across site/ projects
Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System
Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders on HSE matters
Ensure Continuous review of the company's Safe Systems of Work in order to drive improvement
Support the organization in regard to COSHH, Risk Assessment, Walks & Talks, Incident Management and Environmental Aspects.
Internal & External Audits ISO 14001 and 45001

Requirements:

Previous experience as a HSE Specialist and are interested in joining the renewables industry.
Hold relevant education within HSE. (Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate),
Knowledge in all aspects in COSHH assessment
Having the experience from a similar HSE role in manufacturing
Have experience of interpreting/reviewing/developing the HSE policies and processes.
Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems.
Have a good understanding of evaluating risk and planning risk management strategies.

 
The HSE Officer Role:

Our client is open to both a permanent position or a short term contract for the right candidate.
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm with a 1.30pm finish on a Fridays
