HGV 1 Driver

Pertemps driving division are looking for HGV 1 drivers to join our team within the Telford and Shropshire region to cover weekly and last-minute bookings.

Whether you’re looking for ongoing HGV 1 work, or just AD-HOC work to fill up the gaps in your week please get in touch!
 
The roles will entail and not limited to:

• Conducting daily/weekly pre-journey safety checks, ensuring the truck remains in a safe, roadworthy condition.
• Driving various heavy goods vehicles with a variety of trailers depending on the load.
• General haulage work
• Internal and external deliveries, Depot to depot deliveries/collections.
• Handball can be involved.
• Strapping loads
• Trunking work
• Trailer swapping
• Yard shunting/movements

 To be considered for this HGV 1 driver role you will need:

• Category C+E entitlement (MUST OF HELD FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS)
• 6 Months experience driving C+E vehicle
• Valid Tacho and DQC cards
• Friendly, professional, and dedicated to great customer service
• An outstanding work ethic and the ability to work at a fast pace
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to support when needed
• PAYE Only

Benefits:

• Flexible working hours
• Ongoing assignments

PAYE PAY:
£15.00 - £25.50 – dependant on shifts day and time
