Warehouse Operative

Pertemps are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a leading Steel Distributor based in Wednesbury.

Key Duties:

• Picking steel products from inventory based on orders.
• Accurately packing products for dispatch, ensuring items are securely packaged.
• Labelling and preparing goods for delivery.
• Ensuring orders are correct and meet quality standards.
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management when required.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a picking and packing role is highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.

 

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00 - 19:30, and Friday 09:30 - 19:00.

Hourly rate of £12.21 per hour.

This is an ongoing temporary role with the potential to become permanent after a successful trial period.
