Pertemps is seeking an Operations Support Specialist on behalf of our client, a leading global provider of comprehensive supply chain services. About the Role:
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will support the Operations Manager in managing key operational activities. This role is designed to flexibly support both client and site-level needs, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency. You will be an integral part of the team, acting as the empowered delegate for the Operations Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure delivery aligns with contractual commitments and company standards.
- Focus on providing exceptional service experiences for our clients.
- Support monthly business reviews with the on-site client team.
- Contribute to the profitability (P&L) of your assigned territory.
- Ensure compliance with all customer inventory, storage, and delivery requirements.
- Guide and support site teams to achieve Gold standard OPEX ratings.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with clients, providing timely follow-up.
- Work with the account management team to explore additional business opportunities.
- Communicate frequently and openly with all stakeholders, proactively addressing operational issues.
- Train existing employees on systems, best practices, and company-wide initiatives.
- Seek continuous process improvements in operations, employees, processes, and technologies.
Candidate Requirements:
Technical Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of purchasing and inventory management, including experience with ERP systems and interfaces.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to learn and work with multiple MS-based applications, including Sync.
- Certification in project management or procurement is desirable.
- Experience in building professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to follow through and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrate sound business judgment and decision-making skills.
- Possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong people management experience, managing a diverse team.
- High H&S awareness is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, supporting business reviews.

Qualifications/Skills/Licenses Required:
