Job Description

We are seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to support a purchasing manager with our client based in Burntwood.
This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and services are procured efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with production schedules and business growth targets. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who would like to learn more about purchasing and buying within a business.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Placement: Accurately raise and place purchase orders in line with production requirements.

Expediting Orders: Monitor and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services, promptly resolving delays or issues.

Invoice Processing: Prepare and process supplier invoices for submission to the finance team, ensuring accuracy and alignment with purchase orders and delivery notes.

Stock Control Support: Assist in end-of-month stock takes and audit processes, ensuring accurate inventory reporting and compliance with internal procedures.

Supplier Returns & Cost Queries: Manage the return of faulty or incorrect goods, liaise with suppliers to resolve pricing discrepancies, and track credit notes where applicable.

Administrative Support: Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier files, and product data to support procurement reporting and performance tracking.

Key Skills & Experience:
Experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administrative role would be an advantage
(ideally within a manufacturing or production environment).

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.

This is an office based role working Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 2.00pm
