Job Title: Grinder/Grinding Operative (Cylindrical or Surface Grinding)

Location: Dudley, West Midlands.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Hours: Day Shift, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £16 - £18 p/h.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grinder to join the current dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in either cylindrical or surface grinding and will be responsible for operating CNC and conventional grinding machines to produce precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate cylindrical or surface grinding machines. (Lumsden, Blanchard, Jones & Shipman experience preferred).
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform daily routine maintenance on grinding machines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Grinder in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating cylindrical or surface grinding machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
