CNC Lathe Programmer

Location: Halesowen
Weekly Hours: 6am to 2pm/11am to 7pm - Mon to Fri
Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 including shift allowance.

I am pleased to be recruiting for a manual lathe operator for my Halesowen based client who is one of the market leaders in the heavy engineering and forging sector.

The successful CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter will have the following experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter
• Exposure to understanding and following basic CNC programs. (Siemens preferred).
• Working from engineering drawings to plan out how to most effectively machine each component.
• Use of overhead cranes though training will be provided.
• General preventative maintenance such as swarf removal and coolant checks.
• Checking and inspection of own work at beginning, in process and completion of work.
• Working to master route cards and required specifications.
• Worked in a heavy engineering environment.

The ideal candidate:

• A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience.
• A logical and analytical approach
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
