Salary: from £36,625 - £43,857.60 (£22.49 per hour incl shift premium) Dependant on experience

We are looking for experienced Assembly Fitters / Welders to join a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-quality, specialist industrial equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders and mechanical assemblers looking for long-term stability, varied engineering work, and excellent earning potential within a modern manufacturing environment.

You will be involved in the fitting, assembly, and welding of bespoke engineered equipment, working to detailed engineering drawings and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical assembly and fitting of components and machine sections
MIG welding and basic TIG welding to engineering drawings
Preparing and inspecting parts before assembly
Working from bills of materials and technical drawings
Assembly of pneumatic and general pipework systems
Operating rolling and swagging machinery (training provided)
Finishing and preparing components using hand and power tools
Completing quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy
Safely moving parts using lifting equipment and overhead cranes
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Supporting production schedules and build deadlines


What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in welding and mechanical assembly
Competent MIG welder with basic TIG experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy engineering
Strong attention to detail and quality
Reliable team player with a positive attitude
