We are currently seeking an experienced Linisher / Grinder for a manufacturing firm in the South Tamworth / Kingsbury area.
 
Our client is a renowned production facility dedicated to the manufacture and treatment of specialist parts, supplied into the automotive, rail and construction industries.
 
As a Metal Linisher, you will be responsible for grinding, sanding, and polishing metal surfaces to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish. You will be using hand tools, power tools, and industrial linishing machines to remove imperfections, burrs, and welds from metal components. Linishers must follow safety procedures, read technical drawings, and ensure that finished products meet quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and experience working with different metals and finishes.
 
Hours of work: 0700-1600 Monday to Thursday – 0700-1200 on a Friday
 
Rate of pay: £11.44 - £12.00 depending on range of experience (salaries will be set to increase as part of post-April increases)
 
In order to be successful for our Metal Linisher role, you will require the following:-
 

• 6 months or more experience in a finishing / metal prep background in some capacity
• A good team player with the ability to form strong bonds with your colleagues
• Willingness to help out in order areas, such as jigging parts in the spray area, or basic machine operation
• Eagerness to commit to a long-term career
