Job Description
The position involves managing a range of marketing channels and activities, including digital campaigns, social media, website content, email marketing and delivering sales collateral. The Marketing Manager will also support market research, campaign analysis, and customer journey development to ensure marketing activity is effective, targeted, and delivers measurable results.
Duties & responsibilities
- Collaborate with heads of businesses and the Head of Marketing to shape and deliver the marketing strategy in line with business objectives.
- Manage and optimise the marketing budget, ensuring all activity delivers a clear return on investment.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned to the marketing strategy, ensuring they are commercially focused and results driven.
- Lead the creation of high-quality content, including case studies (written and video), social media and email marketing.
- Manage and develop the social media strategy in addition to driving employee generated content to extend reach and engagement.
- Oversee new product launches, from planning through to execution and performance review.
- Oversee the development and management of sales collateral, including brochures, datasheets, and other materials to support specification and trade audiences.
- Manage website performance, including SEO, content updates and ongoing improvements to support lead generation.
- Coordinate photography and video production to support campaigns and brand activity.
- Plan and manage attendance at industry events, exhibitions and awards, including identifying sponsorship opportunities.
- Organise company-led events across showrooms and depots to support local engagement and sales activity.
- Build and manage partnerships, collaborations and manufacturer relationships to support joint marketing initiatives.
- Manage the development of the business’ CPD offering.
- Ensure marketing software and third-party tools are used / managed effectively to maximise performance and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, agencies and suppliers to ensure effective delivery.
- Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and create reports highlighting key data, insights, and performance results, communicating findings to the senior team.
- Conduct market and audience research, including the development of audience profiles and segmentation.
- Review, develop, and manage the customer journey to improve engagement and conversion.
- Review and approve marketing content, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with brand standards.
- Line manage junior team members to plan and deliver marketing activity. In addition to providing direction, feedback and driving development.
- Coordinate team priorities and workflows, ensuring activity is planned, resourced and delivered on time across the division.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Head of Marketing and other senior team members in support of the department’s objectives.
Essential criteria
- Experience in B2B and B2C marketing.
- Proficient with digital and traditional marketing activities including experience of using marketing tools and programmes such as Adobe Creative Suite, GA4, website CMS’ and marketing automation tools.
- Experience in social media marketing.
- Experience of developing marketing strategies and managing budgets.
- Strong attention to detail and experience of proofreading and/or copywriting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and use initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, make informed decisions and adhere to deadlines.
- Reside within a commutable distance from Lichfield.
- Willingness to travel to other offices and events on occasion.
Desirable criteria
- Qualifications in Marketing, Business or related field, do not need to be at degree level.
- Knowledge of the construction industry

Please note the role will be based in Tamworth initially moving to Lichfield later in the year.
