Position: Sales Executive – London & South
Line Manager: Reports to the Business Development Director
Salary: £30000
Hours: Full-Time
Main Place of Work: Corby, Northamptonshire (approx. 30% Field Based)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our client’s team. The role is primarily site-based in Corby, with approximately 30% of your time spent visiting client sites across London and the South. There is potential for a hybrid working arrangement in the future, but the successful candidate must be comfortable spending time on-site and traveling to client locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new sales leads and opportunities, including:
    • Passenger transport infrastructure projects (rail, bus, airport, transport interchanges)
    • Development/construction projects (education, retail, commercial developments and regeneration projects)
    • Major development projects and new sectors/markets
  • Sales Process Management: Conduct product presentations, manage client enquiries, request quotations, and close sales.
  • Site Surveys: Carry out site surveys to support quotation and sales order processes.
  • Administration & Reporting: Update client records, track quotations, and monitor sales progress using company systems.
  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting, persuading, and negotiating.
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of resilience and self-motivation in a competitive environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Professional and customer-focused attitude.
