Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operative with strong turning and milling skills to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce precision machined components.

Manufacture parts to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.

Perform tool changes, adjust offsets and set programs where required.

Carry out in-process and finished part inspection using precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges).

Ensure quality standards are met on every job and report any non-conformances.

Maintain cleanliness and safety in the machine area.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to production targets.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a CNC operator with both turning and milling.

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Knowledge of inspection equipment and quality practices.

Precision engineering or manufacturing background.
