Machine Operator

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, requiring attention to detail and reliability.

Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring machinery, ensuring product quality, and supporting wider production operations as required.

Hourly rate:

•  £12.21 per hour – First 12 weeks.
•  £15.12 per hour – After 12 weeks.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:40pm – 5:50am
• Friday: 5:00pm – 10:50pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Starting, stopping, and monitoring machines throughout production runs
• Observing machine operation to detect faults.
• Removing moulded components safely and checking for defects.
• Conducting visual quality inspections on moulded parts during and after production
• Reporting equipment faults, material issues, or tooling problems to supervisors promptly
•  Maintaining a clean and safe workstation in line with health & safety procedures
• Setting up and operating injection moulding machines according to production schedules
• Loading materials onto the machinery.

Additional Duties May Include:

• Carrying out visual inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Trimming excess plastic from moulded components.
• Assembling small plastic components.
• Working to production targets in a fast-paced environment
• Operating a small bushing press to insert metal bushes/fixings
• Inspecting finished parts and recording production volumes
• Packing finished goods.
