Mail Sorter

At Royal Mail, the festive season is their busiest time of the year, and it’s seasonal workers who make delivering the magic of Christmas possible. As a Mail Sorter, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every Christmas card and present safely reaches its destination.

We are looking for Mail Sorters to work at their Atherstone depot. Coach transportation will collect successful candidates outside Leicester Train Station in Leicester before their shift. You will be paid for 1 hour of travel time per day.

As a Seasonal Mail Sorter working at the heart of their team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering Christmas to the nation. You’ll be:

• Unloading mail and packages from our vans.
• Moving mail and packages through our centres.
• Helping sort mail and packages.

About you:

• Organised and efficient: Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Flexibility and adaptability: Ability to switch between tasks during a shift.
• Strength and stamina: Ability to push trolleys (up to 250kg) and lift/move mail bags (up to 11kg).
• Comfortable with extended periods of walking and standing.

Shifts that are available Monday to Friday:

• Nights: Pick up time 21:00, 22:00 - 06:00 (from £15.11 p/h)
• Earlies: Pick up time 05:00, 06:00 - 14:00 (from £13.90 p/h)
