HGV Class 2 Days ( Wakefield)

***Must have minimum 1 year on licence commercial driving Various ADHOC work on Vans, 7.5tonne, HGV Class 2, HGV Class C+E***

Pertemps have  exciting opportunities for ADHOC & Part time HGV /Van Drivers to work Monday to Friday on days to work out of a logistics site situated in Wakefield @ Junction 39, West Yorkshire, this is Working on behalf of our client who specialise in the logistics industry and are global leaders in their Field.

Duties will include:

• Early Morning Calls to work 
• Curtain Siders & Box Vans
• Can be working as a 2-man team on some deliveries but not all (Room of choice)
• Double man if Scotland or London runs
• Heaviest thing you will lift is a shower screen
• Days start Between 04:00am & 07:00am
• Must Have 1-year commercial driving
• Up to 12 Drops a day depending on the vehicle you drive (Van to Class 2)
• C+E Trunking Runs not multi-drop
• Handballing & lifting on some of the drops.
• Some deliveries can be palletised, some can be tail lift
• Power Pallet trucks & Tail Lifts.
• All loads must be strapped & secured (As per government rules)
• No Nights out unless something tragic happens & it can't be helped.
• All Automatics UNLESS it's a hirer truck & it could be Manuel.
• Must fuel own trucks
• AD- BLUE can fill up on site.

Drivers Skills and experience:

• Must be 23 years & above
• Must have Full CPC card in date & Digi card for HGV
• Must have experience in multi-drop Ideally
• Hold your HGV/Car licence with a minimum of 1 year driving experience on the category requested to drive
• A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD's, DR's or IN10s.

Drivers Hourly Rates

• HGV C+E Days Monday to Friday: £15.50ph & £23.25ph after 8hrs
• HGV Class 2 Days Monday to Friday: £14.00ph & £21.00ph after 8hrs
• HGV 7.5 Tonne Days Monday to Friday: £13.50ph & £20.25ph after 8hrs
• Van Drivers Days Monday to Friday: £12.50ph & £18.75ph after 8hrs

Break Deductions of 45 mins taken after anything worked over 8hrs

All Drivers pay rates are based on PAYE, we do not accept LTD or Umbrella companies.

On top of the Hourly rate, you will accrue Holiday pay, which on average is based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week, Holidays are NOT paid in advance to make the rate look higher. You are enrolled into an optional Pension scheme that can be opted out & SSP is paid if any sickness after a certain period of working time & you will get weekly pay.
