Transport Manager – Hybrid | £40,000–£45,000 + Benefits


Location: Oxford - Hybrid (UK-wide travel required – up to 50%)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year

Our client is a leading supplier of innovative ground access solutions across the rail, construction, and utility sectors. They provide year-round, all-weather site access with a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and cost-efficiency. They are currently seeking a Transport & Plant Manager to join their dynamic operations team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage our UK fleet of commercial vehicles, plant, and drivers.
• Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance (Operator’s Licence, DVSA, tacho systems, etc).
• Oversee procurement, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles and equipment.
• Monitor cost effectiveness, safety, and performance (incl. telematics, utilisation, energy consumption).
• Support Health & Safety initiatives and help standardise operations across the group.

You’ll Need:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Transport Manager (construction industry preferred)
• CPC qualification (essential)
• Full UK Drivers licence
• Strong IT skills – MS Excel, Word, routing & tacho systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
