Yard Operative

Pertemps are delighted to be supporting our esteemed client in the recruitment of a Yard Operative in Climpy.

Location: Climpy (ML11)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
 
Salary: £13.80 per hour
Overtime will be available, paid at time and a half/ double time
 
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Winter hours: 6am-3.45pm
Summer hours: 7am-4.45pm
 
Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of mats and other materials
• General yard duties including housekeeping and organisation
• Assisting with the movement and storage of stock within the yard
• Operating basic yard equipment in a safe manner
• Following site health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting wider yard operations as required

 
Essential Skills:

• Previous yard operative experience preferable but not essential
• Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks, including lifting and carrying.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Good teamwork skills and a proactive attitude.
