Job Description
Location: Brora
Start: ASAP
Contract Length: Until October 2026
Pay Rate: £13.64 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 6.30am – 2.00pm
Overtime may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate safely while loading materials behind refuse and recycling vehicles
- Assist with street scene and environmental maintenance
- Work at Household Recycling Centres, Transfer Stations, or landfill sites
- Collect bulky waste items and remove fly-tipped materials
- Deliver and collect recycling and refuse containers
- Complete basic record-keeping and administrative tasks as required
- Safely remove and dispose of animal carcasses
- Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Supervisor or Foreperson
Key Skills
- Good awareness of health and safety practices in the workplace
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills when dealing with colleagues and the public
- Good level of physical fitness
- Full, valid UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
- Capable of completing basic forms and handling simple paperwork as required
