A well-established architectural and landscape design practice are looking for a Landscape Architect to join its Barnstaple studio. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work across residential, education, healthcare, and community sectors, the practice takes pride in context-sensitive design and long-term client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with LVIA experience to contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on creating places that are both functional and inspiring. Preferably office based but also happy to consider working from home with a couple of days in the office.

The Role:
  • You will work on projects at various stages of development—from early concepts and masterplanning to detailed design and delivery.
  • Producing landscape strategies, masterplans, and detailed technical drawings
  • Preparing and coordinating Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
  • Supporting planning applications with clear, well-structured documentation
  • Collaborating closely with in-house architects and external consultants
  • Ensuring all proposals meet planning policy, environmental, and design standards
Requirements
  • Qualified Landscape Architectural degree and proven UK practice experience
  • Chartered status (CMLI) or on the pathway to chartership
  • Demonstrable experience preparing LVIAs and supporting planning submissions
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant design tools
  • Strong graphic, technical, and report writing skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a keen eye for detail
