With manufacturing facilities at multiple sites in the UK and aboard, alongside sales offices. The product range and boiler cleaning technology are continuously enhanced via on-going research and development and feedback from facilities throughout the world. They utilise the most up-to-date CAD systems and modern CNC machinery to achieve cost effective manufacturing. They have pioneered on load cleaning technology, developing the world's largest retractable sootblow.

The company serves industries including power generation, pulp and paper, Waste-to-Energy (WtE), and petrochemical sectors, delivering reliable performance and full lifecycle support.

The Role:
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dumbarton for a Sales Engineer, Aftermarket & Proposals. To execute Aftermarket & New Equipment proposal activities in relation to RFQs / Proposals and conversion to sales in line with company processes. Ensuring aftermarket solutions including parts, retrofit and equipment upgrades align with customer needs and business goals. Success in this role will require deep understanding of technical sales, proposal development and team


Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguard the companies interests (Technical and Commercial).
  • Provide customers with quotations for goods, including verification of customer requirements, creation and control of quotation documentation, communication with customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to achieve current and future targets.
  • Quotation follow-up to maximise conversions to orders and identify additional opportunities.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in Sales Engineering and Sales with a proven ability to develop tailored solutions and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in Technical Support and understanding of relevant systems and processes
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with clients and internal departments
  • Strong Customer Service orientation with the ability to build relationships and understand client needs
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technical documentation
  • Ability to work on-site in Dumbarton and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Professional Marketing or Business qualification. HNC (or equivalent)in Engineering discipline.
  • Familiar with all MS Office packages and common office IT support packages


Day to Day Tasks:
  • Liaise with customers for new enquiries and revised quotes, working to targets in relation with bookings and quotes within specified turnaround times
  • Evaluation of enquiries and submission of tenders to clients, from both internal and external sources of supply.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients both electronically and potentially face to face.
  • Develop professional customer relationships to offer products and services in line with business strategy
  • Work in line with company ethical and legal guidance in relation to customers meeting appropriate checks and/or use of our products and services to end user
  • Ensuring quotes are provided in line with global company territories and scope of regions.
  • Maximise margin opportunities in line with pre-set parameters with the authority to provide discretionary discount
  • Review resultant orders and process loading / handover to internal stakeholders.
  • Expedite offers in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings.
  • Ensure orders can be made within specified costs and timescales.
  • Provide status reports and/or information to other departments to aid planning and manufacturing.
  • Maximise opportunities for up-selling on behalf of the business.
  • Apply knowledge of product information and systems to support all sales activities.
  • Assist with annual price book review.
  • Assist with annual price agreements for specific customers.
  • Liaise with relevant teams / departments within the company in resolving technical and commercial issues.
  • Support the wider team and departments in terms of ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Contribute to the wider business, acting safely, professionally and ethically at all times.
  • Handle customer information in line with data protection compliance.
  • Other allocated duties and tasks as you may be reasonably expected to fulfil.
  • Stay abreast of latest marketing techniques and New Market developments.
  • Provide focal point for client communication.
  • Develop existing and new client base within area of sales to stimulate business growth
