Location: Deeside
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Deeside, who are looking for a Business Accountant to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys business analysis and has a passion for turning data into meaningful insights. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, and Senior Management to provide critical financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making and driving overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, delivering clear, actionable insights into business performance.
• Conduct in-depth business analysis including production, cost, and variance reporting.
• Partner with operational teams to identify efficiencies, cost savings, and profitability improvements.
• Analyse departmental spend, buying variances, labour costs, and operational performance.
• Develop robust financial models and dashboards using advanced Excel and database tools.
• Support month-end reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analytical projects.
• Present financial information in a clear and concise manner for non-finance stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements:

• Part-qualified or qualified Accountant (AAT / CIMA / ACCA) with experience in business or management accounting, ideally within manufacturing or SME environments.
• A strong commercial mindset with proven ability to deliver meaningful business analysis.
• Advanced Excel and database analytics skills - comfortable managing and interpreting large datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - confident in presenting data and influencing decisions.
• Ambition to progress within a forward-thinking business and take on greater responsibilities over time.
