Job Title: FLT Warehouse Operative

Location: Chester, Cheshire

Salary: £28,288 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

• Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 12:00

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced FLT Warehouse Operative to join their established logistics team. This is a varied, hands-on role within a busy warehouse and yard environment, requiring both FLT operation and general logistics support.
Key Responsibilities 
Reach Truck Duties

• Picking orders from stock and preparing them for dispatch

• Safely storing packaging materials within racking systems

• Delivering lead ingots to the production department

• Supplying pallets for packing and order preparation

 

 
Counterbalance Duties

• Loading and unloading inbound and outbound deliveries

• Providing operational cover for additional warehouse tasks as required

 

 
Yard Duties

• Managing lead storage within the yard

• Assisting with gas deliveries

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and general yard organisation

 

 
Manual & General Logistics Support

• Assisting with manual packing of orders when required

• Supporting the wider logistics team to ensure smooth workflow and service levels

 

 
What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience working within a logistics or warehouse environment

• Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance FLT licences (essential)

• Strong team player with a proactive attitude

• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
