Job Description
Role: Part Time Bookkeeper
Location: Newport
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an enthusiastic and organised bookkeeper to join our client in Newport. You will play a vital role in keeping financial processes running smoothly, ensuring accuracy, and compliance across accounts payable, financial records and payroll. Candidates must have previous SAGE experience.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Preparing and submitting accurate VAT returns
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for audits.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.

 
Requirements

• Experience in accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software systems (SAGE 100)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
