Legal Secretary (Litigation), Bedfordshire, Temporary 2-month role with strong extension potential, £26,000+ (DOE) Pro Rata, JOB REF:0181

Are you an experienced Legal Secretary seeking your next opportunity in a supportive and reputable firm? We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and professional Legal Secretary to join a well-established firm in Bedfordshire.

In this role, you’ll provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to solicitors, helping ensure the smooth running of the department. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team where your skills and initiative are valued.

THE ROLE:
  • You’ll be providing vital secretarial and administrative support to solicitors dealing with a broad range of litigation matters, mainly property litigation.
  • Audio and copy typing legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing and amending client documentation
  • Diary management and arranging appointments
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and external bodies
  • Managing files, opening and closing matters
  • Assisting with billing and time recording
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a legal secretary role, ideally within a property litigation department
  • Strong typing and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
  • A friendly and professional manner when dealing with clients
  • Confident using legal software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
