JOB TITLE: Insurance Disputes Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 8+
LOCATION: London
SALARY: £100 – 120K+ DOE

THE ROLE:
An established and expanding insurance disputes team is seeking a senior Solicitor to join its London office. Acting for insurers, reinsurers and market participants, you will advise on a broad range of coverage and liability defence matters, often with an international dimension. You will play a key role in managing complex disputes on a day-to-day basis, working closely with Partners while also taking responsibility for supervising junior Lawyers and maintaining strong client relationships. The work will include advising on policy interpretation, coverage issues, liability defence including professional indemnity matters, subrogated recoveries and dispute resolution strategy. The caseload will span a wide range of insurance lines including financial risks, cyber and technology matters, property damage, reinsurance, fraud and specialty risks. This is a senior position offering the opportunity to take ownership of matters, contribute to the development of client relationships and support the continued growth of the team.

THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least eight years’ post-qualification experience in insurance disputes, ideally gained within a recognised insurance practice. You will have a strong understanding of the London insurance market, including experience advising on complex coverage and liability issues. You will demonstrate excellent technical skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage substantial matters with minimal supervision. Experience supervising junior team members and contributing to business development initiatives will be advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term client relationships will be essential.

THE FIRM:
This is a highly regarded national firm with a strong reputation in the insurance sector and a collaborative, forward-thinking culture. The team continues to grow and offers exposure to high-quality work, alongside a supportive environment that encourages progression and professional development.

PACKAGE:
Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, together with flexible working arrangements, structured career progression and the opportunity to play a key role within a high-performing insurance disputes team.
