Internal Tendering / Application Sales 

Are you from an electrical engineering background with a flair for customer communication and commercial awareness? Our client, a leading manufacturer of standard and custom control panel solutions and associated electrical equipment, is looking to expand their specialist Electrical Controls Department with an Internal Tendering / Application Sales professional.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting the sales process by liaising directly with clients, preparing accurate and competitive quotations, and providing tailored application solutions. Working closely with internal departments and clients, you’ll help ensure seamless delivery of bespoke electrical control systems.

Full training will be provided, so this is a great opportunity for someone with the right foundation and a drive to learn.

Key Responsibilities of this Internal Tendering / Application Sales role:

  • Generate quotations for electrical control panel systems and associated equipment
  • Ensure correct product selection and produce all required supporting documentation
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, building strong relationships and trust
  • Liaise with internal departments to support efficient order processing and delivery
  • Identify client needs and propose tailored technical solutions
  • Stay informed on technical developments and electrical legislation updates
  • Support business growth by contributing to sales strategies and customer engagement
  • Ensure compliance with industry and company standards on all product selections
Key Skills & Requirements for this Internal Tendering / Application Sales  role:

  • Background in electrical engineering, ideally with control panel/motor experience
  • Understanding of PLC, HMI, VSD, Soft Start, and control system principles
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Commercially aware with strong organisational and multitasking ability
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to manage own workload effectively
  • Knowledge of SCADA, telemetry, and networking systems is a plus
Details of this Internal Tendering / Application Sales role:

  •  Salary: Starting from £26,000 (DOE)
  • Work-Life Balance: Option to work hours over 4 days
  • Holiday: 30 days including statutory, rising to 33 after one year
  • Bonus: Annual business performance bonus (non-contractual)
