We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of ensuring that projects are not only well-planned but also implemented correctly, with stakeholders engaged, aligned, and completing their responsibilities on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement planning standards, frameworks, and best practice across projects and programmes.
- Own, maintain, and update project and programme plans, highlighting risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate the creation of roadmaps, delivery plans, resource plans, and benefit realisation plans.
- Monitor progress, forecast missed milestones, and provide impact assessments.
- Manage and maintain resource allocation, identifying clashes or shortages.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments are understood and achieved, driving accountability where needed.
- Support project managers and workstream leads with estimating, reporting, and quality reviews.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training materials to develop planning maturity.
- Ensure alignment between programme delivery and business-as-usual activities.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
- Proven ability to plan and manage complex programmes and projects, including budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Strong experience using planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) to track and report efficiently.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and ensure stakeholders deliver on agreed actions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2) or equivalent experience.
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
