English & Maths Trainer

Location: Nottingham, with travel across the East Midlands

Hours: Part‑time (4 days / 29 hours) Mon-Thurs with a 630pm finish on a Monday– term‑time considered

Salary: £28,212 – £33,036 per annum (pro‑rata), depending on experience

The Role

We are seeking a passionate English & Maths Trainer who is motivated by helping learners achieve and progress. The role involves delivering English and Maths from Entry Level to Level 2 across apprenticeship and adult learning programmes, through a mix of workplace and in‑house delivery.

This opportunity would suit someone who thrives on building learner confidence, adapting delivery to individual needs, and making a genuine, lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver engaging English and Maths sessions that support learner achievement and progression
    • Work with mixed‑ability learners, including those who may be disengaged or lack confidence
    • Manage a caseload of learners, monitoring progress and supporting timely achievement
    • Diagnose learning needs and tailor delivery accordingly
    • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance
    • Work collaboratively with employers, assessors, and internal teams

About You

Essential:
    • Experience delivering English and Maths (Entry Level to Level 2)
    • English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above
    • Strong learner‑centred approach and effective classroom management skills
    • A recognised teaching award at Level 3 or above
    • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport


Desirable:
    • GCSE English delivery experience
    • Level 5 subject specialism in English
