Job Description

Group Managing Surveyor

A varied and responsible role, your objective will be to provide independent commercial assurance advice alongside supporting teams and divisions across the South West and South East Regions with commercial processes, data reviews and risk analysis, systems and onboarding.


The Role

Reporting into the central function of the business and travelling across the regions and offices, duties will include:
  • Produce detailed analysis of CVR’s and costs
  • Providing commercial onboarding to new starters including the training of processes and systems
  • Attendance and support of monthly CVR meetings
  • Providing commercial assurance outputs for the group including CVR, Risk and Opportunity reporting
  • Implementing, reviewing and supporting the use of the COINS system
  • Identifying and resolving any commercial issues or non-compliance
The Person

The position requires a real team player who values efficiency and a job well done. An experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, you should have the following skill sets and background:

  • Previous experience of quantity surveying in a management role
  • A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in construction or quantity surveying
  • Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of COINS
  • Contractual and building legislation knowledge
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and rapport
  • Problem solving, communication and organisational skills
  • A methodical approach with a keen eye for detail and compliance
