Finance Administrator


Office-based, Central Plymouth
Parking on site
£25,000-£30,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and positive Finance Administrator to join our clients team. This is a pivotal role supporting the Commercial Director and site teams, ensuring smooth office operations and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, demonstrate initiative, and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of their work and enjoy a varied workload.


Key Responsibilities

Finance Support -
Process supplier invoices using Xero accounting software
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries
Support CIS administration, including maintaining subcontractor records and deductions
Assist with material and subcontract enquiries and orders
Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance

Office Administration -
Prepare site folders and set up new projects on company systems
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Liaise with and support site teams to facilitate successful project delivery
Handle general office duties including handling incoming calls, correspondence, filing, and document control
Provide administrative support

Health & Safety Administration -
Assist with health and safety documentation and compliance
Prepare and maintain site folders with relevant H&S information



Skills & Experience

PRevious Finance/Bookkeeping experience
Experience with Xero accounting software (desirable)
Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Office suite
Previous experience in a construction or project-led environment (advantageous)
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy
