Sheridan Maine is partnering with a London-based organisation to recruit a Management Accountant for their team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with expertise in financial reporting, planning, and analysis within a complex, multi-entity environment. This role focuses on contributing to the management and statutory reporting for the company and its associated entities.
 
This is a hybrid role (requiring 3 days in the office) with working hours from 9:30am to 17:15pm.

Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly management accounts with commentary
  • Develop and manage budgets, 3-year rolling forecasts, and ensure accurate data entry at expense and project levels
  • Create departmental reports, committee reports, ad hoc analyses, and financial models to support decision-making
  • Assist in preparing year-end financial statements, tax schedules, and pension scheme accounts
  • Oversee grant recognition timing and proper allocation of income and expenses across various funds
  • Regularly review cost allocation models, reconcile service charges, and monitor variances
  • Identify weaknesses in controls and reporting systems, suggest improvements, and participate in software testing
  • Support finance operations across the Company and associated entities
 
The successful Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Fully qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis in complex, multi-entity environments
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and computerised systems, with solid bookkeeping expertise
  • Advanced IT skills, including Excel, Word, and report-writing tools in mid-tier accounting software
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate and thorough accounting records
  • Proactive team player with a collaborative approach
