Sheridan Maine is seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to join an established and progressive accountancy firm in East Sussex. This is a great opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified professional who enjoys a mixed role and is looking to build long-term client relationships in a supportive environment.

You will manage a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors and be involved in both audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies.
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with current accounting and audit standards.
  • Review work of junior team members and provide feedback.
  • Support partners and managers with ad hoc assignments and projects.

What we’re looking for:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with strong experience.
  • Recent experience in a UK practice environment.
  • Strong audit and accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • A team player with a proactive and professional approach.
