Interim Project Accountant - Hybrid

Sheridan Maine is working on behalf of an established London-based organisation that is seeking an experienced SAGE Intacct user for a temporary contract. This role will play a key part in supporting the successful ‘Go Live’ of their new ERP system, assisting colleagues through the transition, providing hands-on support during the first 2–3 month-end closes, and contributing to finance process improvements.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance (HOF) and Financial Controller (FC) to document process changes, tidy up balance sheet reconciliations, and, time permitting, support the annual budgeting cycle.

Your key responsibilities as the Project Accountant:

• Provide system guidance to team members, answering queries and supporting them through the month-end process.
• Collaborate with the HOF and FC to document updated business and finance processes linked to the ERP implementation.
• Review and tidy specific balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process, including setting up Excel templates and preparing cost line budgets with guidance from the HOF and FC.

We’re looking for a Project Accountant with:

• Proven experience in a similar finance role.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with SAGE Intacct.
• Strong Excel skills, particularly in creating and managing templates.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to support colleagues.
• The ability to take initiative and work independently.
• High numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
