Sheridan Maine is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in East London to recruit a Semi-Senior Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and professional firm, working with a varied client portfolio while developing your accounting experience.
 
The Role
The Semi-Senior Accountant will support the preparation of accounts and tax compliance for a diverse client base. You will work closely with managers and senior staff, gaining hands-on experience across both accounts and compliance.
 
The Semi-Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
  •  Preparing and reviewing accounts for a portfolio of clients.
  •  Assisting with management accounts and tax compliance tasks.
  •  Supporting senior team members with audit and year-end work.
  •  Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
  •  Ensuring work is accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards.
  •  Supporting ad hoc projects and tasks within the team.

The successful Semi-Senior Accountant will possess:
  •  Part-qualified or working towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  •  Experience in accounts preparation and basic compliance within an accountancy practice.
  •  Good technical knowledge of UK accounting standards.
  •  Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  •  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
