Audit & Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice – East London

We are currently working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in East London who are looking to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their high-performing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with strong practice experience to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

The Role 
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit and accounts services to a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and supporting audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, including SMEs and larger organisations
  • Reviewing junior staff work and providing on-the-job training and guidance
  • Liaising directly with clients, building strong long-term relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant accounting standards
  • Supporting tax computations and wider advisory work where required
  • Working closely with managers and partners on complex assignments 
 
About You 
To be successful in this Audit & Accounts Senior job in East London, you will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (strong practice experience essential)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice / firm of accountants
  • Strong audit experience and confidence leading sections of audit assignments
  • Solid knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients
