Job Description

Our goal is to provide a reliable, resilient, secure, and optimised Electronic Security System (ESS) for our internal customers—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Building strong relationships with our Operations colleagues is at the heart of what we do, ensuring we deliver exceptional service and exceed expectations across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Security Systems Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the management, administration, and continuous improvement of our Electronic Security Systems. You’ll act as the link between operational teams, finance, and service providers—ensuring our systems remain compliant, efficient, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchase orders and invoice-to-payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Administer corporate finance systems for ESS-related spend, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Track and record ESS financial spend to support effective budget management.
  • Respond promptly to data and information requests for regulatory audits and track audit actions through to closure.
  • Ensure maintenance activities completed by suppliers are accurately recorded in corporate systems.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with ESS maintenance providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and escalating issues when required.
  • Participate in regular performance and financial review meetings to monitor service levels and address any areas of concern.
Base location – Hybrid – Kemble Court Reading RG2 6AD (offer flexible working).

Working pattern – 36 hours, Monday to Friday.

Requirements for the role – MUST be able to obtain CTC Clearance.

What you should bring to the role
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role is:
  • Full UK Driving Licence – required for travel between sites as part of the role.
  • Education – educated to A-level (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Stakeholder Management – excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience building and maintaining effective relationships across multiple teams and levels.
  • Problem Solving – strong analytical skills with the ability to make balanced, evidence-based decisions that consider technical factors, operational risk, and customer needs.
  • Technical Proficiency – confident user of IT systems for report writing, data analysis, and compiling information into clear, actionable reports.
  • System Knowledge – good working knowledge of Electronic Security Systems (ESS), including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems.
Nice-to-haves that would make you stand out:
  • Previous experience of working in the ESS service delivery sector.
  • Knowledge of the water industry, utilities sector or similar.
  • Awareness/basic knowledge of: Asset recording systems, eg, SAP.
