Job Description
We’re looking for a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing and influencing senior stakeholders under tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Operations Regional Capital Manager, you will deliver operational readiness capability by driving closer integration of operational requirements into capital delivery solutions and consistent handover standards.
You will have organisational insight & influence with an ability to challenge, and will liaise with Operations, Projects & Programmes and Developer Services to find the right solution for Thames Water.
What you will be doing as an Operations Integration Manager
- Encouraging collaboration within operational and capital project teams and understanding the needs of all stakeholders.
- Involvement in projects from the start, supporting & representing operations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that operational capability, resilience, and planning are included in the delivery scope.
- Accountable for the engagement, coordination and support of operational input into the capital programme.
- Leading a team of Operational Integration Specialists, the successful candidate will ensure the achievement of sustainable outcomes, representing the End User with responsibility for the identification, development, acceptance and implementation of solutions which deliver the required benefits across the AMP.
- Oversee a jointly agreed “outage” programme which balances the needs of Operations & the capital programme, ensuring the best outcome for Thames Water.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the operational benefits are embedded and realised throughout the AMP, intervening and implementing solutions where this is not the case.
- Ensure their team supports Operations after project takeover to maximise the benefits of the project.
- Ensure any escalated issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitoring compliance of the stage gate process within the team.
- Responsible for decisions around temporary arrangements, understanding critical information around temporary treatment solutions, in line with Operational Integration RACI.
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety systems and operational constraints.
- Knowledge of catchment and area impacts on site performance.
- Awareness of relevant legislative frameworks.
- Experience facilitating site meetings and reviews.
- Track record of delivering outcomes and budgets in capital delivery.
- Familiarity with contractual testing and project sign-off.
- Ability to meet commercial, technical, and operational objectives.
- Engineering solutions experience.
- Strong IT skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Offering a starting salary from £51,800 per annum.
- Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
