Job Description

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee CAD Technician to join their growing team in Hereford. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced designers and draughtsmen on a range of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the production of technical drawings for multiple assigned contracts, as directed by the Senior Draughtsman.
Liaise with customers to agree on general arrangement drawings and resolve any identified issues.
Ensure drawings are issued accurately and on time to the production team for manufacture.
Work closely with the design team to support drawing-related queries and amendments.
Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role as required.

Package

Salary of £28,000 - £32,000pm DOE
37.5 Hours a week (Monday – Friday)
25 days holiday

Key Experience

Experience using CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault)
Computer literate with a thorough working knowledge of MS Office packages (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and confidence liaising with colleagues and customers.
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Ideal Experience

Working knowledge of building information modelling or REVITT to produce 3D drawings
Understanding and practical knowledge of water storage tanks
Experience within HVAC, Construction or Mechanical Instillation.
