Business Development Manager – £30-35k – Birmingham

My client offers a unique and bespoke loan service to small limited companies, providing them with a solution to short-term working capital, cash flow and other issues that may arise. They provide loans for a period of up to 12 months and have simplified the process making it easy for their clients, with funds transferred within 24 hours of making the application. The company are based in Birmingham, have been trading for over a decade and are currently undergoing an exciting period of growth. They have a great reputation in the market and are known for delivering outstanding levels of service to their clients and partners. They are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to generate suitable loan applications for the business via commercial finance brokers and other intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:
  • To build and manage new and existing broker relationships and act as their primary point of contact.
  • To handle all new business enquires professionally and within a timely manner.
  • To represent the company at events, seminars, networking and expos.
  • Manage your own diary and work independently.
  • Manage and keep up to date introducer details via CRM system (Hubspot)
  • To maintain a strong commercial awareness of the commercial finance industry.
  • To maintain ongoing contact with key brokers, arranging regular face to face meetings.
  • To Proactively engage with introducers via marketing initiatives on a regular basis.
  • To conduct site visits to clients to complete loan deals (when required)
  • To act with honesty and integrity at all times reflecting the businesses core values.

Requirements for the Business Development Manager:
  • Experience working within the Commercial Finance Industry with an established network of brokers.
  • Experience speaking to small business owners and an understanding of the cashflow challenges they face.
  • Ability to build strong ongoing relationships with introducers.
  • Proven experience in target driven sales or account management/broker manager role.
  • Hard working, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to conduct presentations.
  • High levels of commercial awareness.
  • Full driving license with flexibility to travel nationally.
  • Flexibility to perform other functions related to the role.
  • Experience using Linked In, Excel, Power Point and Mailchimp advantageous.
