About the role:

As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring passengers have a smooth, safe, and enjoyable airport experience. You will deliver excellent customer service across retail and front-of-house environments at East Midlands Airport, including shops, cafés, and lounges.

Shift patterns: (Flexible across 7 days):
  • 05:00 – 13:30
  • 13:30 – 22:00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering outstanding customer service in retail, café, and lounge environments, including greeting and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner and handling queries effectively and efficiently.
  • Processing transactions accurately using tills and card payment systems.
  • Replenishing stock and ensuring product displays are visually appealing.
  • Working as part of a team to meet service standards.
  • Following all health and safety requirements.
Ideal backgrounds could include:
  • Retail and customer service roles.
  • Hospitality roles (waiters, baristas, front-of-house staff).
  • Care and support work.
  • Events, guest services, or public-facing roles.
  • No previous experience is required; however, experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or care roles is highly desirable.
What you need:
  • A 5-year checkable employment/education history (2021 – Present).
  • Criminal record check (cost reimbursed after 4 weeks).
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and nights.
