Location: Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (Ongoing)
Rate of Pay: £16.19 per hour PAYE

Are you an observant and highly organised individual with a passion for community safety? The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a proactive CCTV Operator to support its Environmental Enforcement Team in safeguarding public spaces and enhancing local services.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
In this vital role, you'll be the eyes of the borough-ensuring smooth operations across surveillance and enforcement services. Your key duties include:

• Ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations including Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Council governance policies
• Offering technical support and real-time communication to frontline officers via radio and phone systems
• Managing police and service radio channels, dispatching tasks and responding promptly to calls
• Recording and preparing accurate documentation and evidence for internal departments and external partners, within legal frameworks
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with law enforcement, housing associations, and council services to enhance evidence gathering
• Managing your workload and adapting to service priorities as directed by supervisors
• Operating CCTV systems in line with current legislation, policies, and the Code of Practice, within a dynamic Control Centre environment

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of public safety CCTV procedures and relevant legal and operational standards
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, able to handle fluctuating priorities
Professional communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully
Flexibility to work rotating shift patterns-including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
