Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service and Sales Advisor to join our clients growing team in Stratford. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with a positive and helpful experience. Whether it's answering queries, resolving issues, or offering advice, you will be a key part of our customer journey.

Reporting to the General Manager the customer service and sales advisor represents the company, both on the phone and face to face to wholesale and retail customer base. Identify new sales leads, working with customers to find their needs, create solutions, and ensure a smooth sales process.

You will focus primarily on managing and expanding trade accounts, while also ensuring high levels of customer service and contributing to team success. This role is heavily focused on trade sales and business development, along with dedicated time to customer service, teamwork, and supporting the broader sales team.
Based in rural Stratford, you must drive and have your own transport to be considered. Please note, there are no public transport links to the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound telephone calls/ live chat enquiries in a professional manner and handle customer queries and sales from start to completion
  • Complete accurate quotations at customers’ request. 
  • Follow all quotations up in a timely manner to close the sale
  • Through conversations with customers, determines whether they are eligible for a trade account.  If so, open an account and communicate this to accounts, via line manager, and to customer detailing full details of terms and payment
  • Strive to research and identify new potential customers
  • Regularly review and manage stock and product orders
  • Using data provided to prospect customers– lapsed, dormant, downtrading, trading and new.
  • Use targeted introduction/offers to create a relationship with the customers.  Where appropriate, open trade accounts
  • Identify process improvements that will improve our customer’s experience.  Present to line manager and company management team for feedback and approval of change

Important info
  • Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch
  • Required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (WFH) 8.30am till 12pm
  • Salary dependent on experience circa £25,000 - £26,000
