Yard Operative/FLT Driver

Location: Stourport-on-Severn

Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 – 17:30

Pay: From £13.50 per hour

Contract: Temp – Perm



Pertemps is currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join our client on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently within the yard. If you hold an in-date Counterbalance licence, in-house training can be provided for Reach Truck operation.



The Duties of a Forklift Driver:

• Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and organise stock in the yard

• Load and unload deliveries with precision and care

• Ensure stock is stored correctly and in line with company procedures

• Carry out regular safety checks on the reach truck and report any issues

• Assist with general yard duties, including housekeeping and stock control

• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment

The Requirements of a Forklift Driver:

• Valid Forklift licence and experience

• Previous experience working as a Reach Truck Driver in a yard or warehouse desirable

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Ability to handle manual tasks when required
