Job Description
Pertemps are recruiting a Lecturer - Carpentry (Apprenticeships) for an Education provided based in Essex
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching apprenticeships and hold a Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma, along with advanced craft skills in wood occupations.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in carpentry to apprenticeship students, ensuring they gain practical and theoretical knowledge.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress.
Ensure all teaching practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Stay updated with the latest developments in carpentry and apprenticeship training.
Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support students in their academic and professional development.
Qualifications:
Proven experience teaching apprenticeships in carpentry.
Carpentry Level 2 or 3 NVQ or Diploma.
Advanced craft skills in wood occupations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Higher education degree in Carpentry or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar teaching role.
