We are on the look out for a drivers mate to support our client on a busy contract in the Huthwaite area, just on the outskirts of Sutton in Ashfield. In this role, you will be heading out each day with a driver and assist them in the manual handling and delivery of large, bulky items. You will be unloading white goods to domestic properties across the Midlands, making between 3 and 6 deliveries per day and dealing first hand with customers. 

 

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday
  
  
• Early Morning Starts between 5am and 7am
  
  
• Roughly 12 hour days
  
  
• Guaranteed 50 hours per week paid*
  
  
• Temporary Ongoing, opportunity to be taken on permanent after qualifying time period, performance dependent. 
  
  

 

What We're Looking For;

• Whilst you will be working in 2-3 man teams, goods will often be between 50kg - 100kg so you must consider yourself physically fit to carry out this role.
  
  
• Awareness of Health and Safety practices in regards to manually handling.
  
  
• Understanding of roadside safety.
  
  
• Confident communicator with some customer service skills.
  
  
• Previous experience in a bulky goods delivery role would be beneficial.
  
  
• Reliable and good team player.
