Vehicle Mechanic

An experienced Vehicle Mechanic is sought by an established, family-run vehicle repair workshop in Digbeth, Birmingham that has been operating for over 40 years.
 
They are looking for an enthusiastic and confident expert in vehicle repair to join their well-equipped, modern facilities on a permanent, full-time basis, working Monday to Friday with no weekends.
 
The Role:
As a Mechanic, you will work within the team providing a professional and comprehensive service to the company’s large customer base. Your daily duties will include:

• Servicing and repairing vehicles of all makes and models
• Fitting and replacing components including timing belts and clutches
• Running diagnostic checks
• Stripping vehicles
• Working on both petrol and diesel vehicles
• Large focus on working on vans

The Person:
The successful Mechanic should have experience in the following:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of repairing and servicing a range of models of vehicle, in particular vans
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience of fitting and replacing parts (including clutches and timing belts) to a high standard and within an established timeframe
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Within commutable distance to Birmingham City Centre
