SEN Teacher

Job Title: SEN Teacher (SEMH) 📍 Location: East London
💷 Salary: MPS/UPS – Paid to Scale
🕒 Contract: Full-time (Permanent or Long-term)
We are seeking a committed and resilient SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is based in a specialist provision in East London, supporting pupils who require consistency, structure, and strong positive role models.
The Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs
• Teach small classes with high staff-to-pupil ratios
• Implement trauma-informed and restorative approaches
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Work closely with behaviour mentors, LSAs, therapists, and safeguarding teams
• Track progress against EHCP targets and individual behaviour plans

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs, or in PRU/Alternative Provision
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A secure understanding of safeguarding and child protection
