Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a talent for engaging students who may not thrive in mainstream education? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher to join an Alternative Education Centre in Durham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to small groups of students
- Support learners with varying abilities, including those with SEN needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create personalised learning plans
- Encourage students to develop confidence and skills through creative and practical approaches to learning
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Strong behaviour management skills and a flexible, empathetic approach
- A passion for working with students outside of mainstream education
- Available to work 9 am- 2:30 pm
