Maths Tutor – Alternative Education Provision
Location: Meadowfield, Durham
Pay: £21 per hour
Hours: 3 days per week, 9:00am – 2:30pm

We’re looking for a dedicated Maths Tutor to join an independent alternative education provision in Meadowfield, supporting students who experience SEMH and behavioural challenges.
You’ll be working with small groups of learners who are working below age-related expectations, focusing mainly on primary level and Functional Skills Maths, with a small number of students working towards GCSE level.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping young people re-engage with learning and achieve progress at their own pace.
The role:

• Deliver tailored Maths sessions in small group settings
• Support students with a range of SEMH and behavioural needs
• Plan and adapt learning to suit individual abilities
• Work collaboratively with other tutors and support staff

Requirements:

• Experience delivering Maths at primary, Functional Skills or GCSE level
• Confident supporting students with additional or behavioural needs
• Passionate about helping young people reach their potential
